  • New Homework Club hours starting Tuesday 2/19. Mondays from 3:30-4:30pm and Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30pm in room 20 with DeRobbio and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30pm in room 24 with Lanni. Please come get extra help on assignments or just have a quiet space to work. Look forward to seeing you there. 
  • Junior boys or junior girls interested in government can now apply for the American Legion Boys State and Girls State all-expense paid summer programs.  Participants will run for office, develop public speaking skills, and participate in all aspects of developing a working government system. Those who apply must be strong academically, have leadership skills and an interest in community and government. Boys State will be held on the CSU Sacramento campus from June 22-29.  Girls State will be held on the Claremont McKenna College campus in Claremont, CA from June 25-30.   • The Rotary Club is offering two all-expense paid summer camps in June for high school juniors:  Camp Royal leadership-training camp is filled with ideas and strategies to help students become more effective leaders. Camp Venture is a motivational summer camp for students interested in pursuing a career in business, particularly as entrepreneurs.   • Auditions for the 2019/20 DHS Symphonic and Jazz bands are available for everyone interested. Please contact Mr. Slabaugh in PA-3 to receive the audition requirements and sign up for an audition time. 
  • Pary Like It's 1929 Night is a free event where the public can listen to jazz, visit speakeasies and learn the Charleston all while supporting the students. Juniors work diligently to create an original magazine representing various niches of the 1920s. Every article is written by students, every page handcrafted to mimic an authentic publication from the decade, and professionally printed for display at the Magazine Launch Party. Students design creative booths to attract their niche market - anything from a nightclub with a live band to a restaurant with real food. Wear your swankiest 1920s garb and come on down to Da Vinci Charter Academy on Friday, February 22 between 6-8 pm to learn about this roaring period in our nation’s history.   • Future Day - Do you want to be a veterinarian? Join us for a day of interesting case studies and hands-on wetlabs! Activities may include interpreting radiographs, tying basic sutures, animal training exercises, learning CPR, examining bone specimens, learning about exotic animal care, and more! Register beginning February 15.  Flyer

  • The Vitruvian is Da Vinci Charter Academy's student-run publication. Student journalists cover news regarding the school and the Davis community at large. In addition, reporters write about national news and how it relates to the student body. Visit their website at and pick up their printed issues in the office. 
  • SENIORS! Do you know about the tradition of Davis Grad Night?  Davis Grad Night is a fun, safe and sober all-night celebration for graduating seniors from the four DJUSD high schools.  The party is held at Emerson Junior High School, with the entire campus transformed into a night club filled with activities, hundreds of raffle prizes and an all-night cafe.  The decorations theme changes every year and is top secret until it is revealed at Grad Night.   • Attn: 2018-19 Davis High Athletes! DV students participate in athletics through the Davis Senior High Athletics Department. The registration window is open for the 2018-19 school year. Go to to complete your registration and upload your sports physical. Reminder: sports physicals must be dated June 1st or after to cover the entire school year.
  • The college visit schedule at Davis High is posted here, in the Davis High Career Center windows, and in Naviance. The schedule will be updated as new visits are added.  Students must sign up on Naviance prior to attending a college visit and should sign out at the attendance office with a note from a parent/guardian.
